We’ve recently delivered a fantastic new course for a local authority, keen to ensure staff are protected while cleaning up fly tipped waste. The challenges staff face range from dumped sheet asbestos to orphaned gas cylinders.

The half day course covered:

• Asbestos awareness
• HSE asbestos essentials for fly tipped waste and cement debris
• How to don and doff PPE
• The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009
• Handling cylinders

As a key part of the contract with the client, staff were face fit tested to ensure their half mask respirators  if required, were suitable for use.
